First Round (max. 30 minutes / competitor)

A) Two pieces chosen by the competitor from the following:

B) Freely chosen original works by Liszt and/or transcriptions, paraphrases within the remaining performance time, excluding Liszt études.

C) Selection from the following works, up to a maximum of 5 minutes:

  • György Kurtág: Játékok (Games), Books 5, 6, 7

⚠️ Works performed in this round may not be repeated in later rounds.


Second Round (max. 50 minutes / competitor)

The works must be performed in the following order: A – B – C – D

A) One freely chosen Liszt transcription / opera paraphrase from the following:

  • Liszt: Piano Concerto No. 2 in A major, R. 456; S. 125

  • Liszt: Totentanz, R. 457; S. 126

In the final, the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra will perform.
