New Jazz Stars – Young Talents of Hungarian Jazz in Veszprém

Three young and vibrant jazz musicians, three distinctive instrumental voices, and a summer evening concert in the special atmosphere of Veszprém’s historic city centre. The New Jazz Stars concert presents the 2026 recipients of the Lakatos Ablakos Dezső Jazz Performance Scholarship: Salamon Tűzkő on trumpet, János Egri on piano and Kornél Siklós on drums.

The evening promises fresh energy, virtuosity and the thrilling freedom of jazz. Salamon Tűzkő represents one of the defining voices of Hungary’s young post-bop generation, with a musical world rooted in swing; János Egri is a Junior Prima Award-winning pianist and composer, known as one of the versatile young talents of the Hungarian jazz scene; while drummer Kornél Siklós brings rhythmic drive, sensitivity and spontaneity to the trio.

This concert offers more than a musical performance: it is a glimpse into the future of Hungarian jazz. Youthful, inspiring, improvisational and unrepeatable – a memorable summer evening at Szentháromság Square, as part of the Palace Concerts summer series.

Guests are welcomed with a glass of BOCK wine before the concert.

Rain venue: Ceremonial Hall of the Archbishop’s Palace.
